Reading & Reading Logs
Strategy: Synthesize – How does what you’ve read today fit with what you already know? How has it shaped, changed, confirmed your ideas?
Analysing & Writing the Narrative – Taking a Critical Look at Writing
Technique#2 – Introspection We looked at understanding the meaning of “introspection” and how it can be used successfully in narrative writing. Students received a resource sheet. Together we read the handout to explain and understand the meaning of "introspection" as it is used in narrative analysis and writing. Students read a lout and we examined some exemplars.
Students were asked to use two highlighters ( or to circle examples of Sense Data and Underline examples of Introspection) in the 2nd exemplar. Students then volunteered to share their findings as we analysed the use of both techniques in the model provided.
