Writing with Sense Data Poem: You have received an outline, rubric, graphic organizers and model/examples of a Writing with Sense data Poem from Graphic Organizer, thru pre-writing, free-writing and drafts. Please, make sure these sheets are kept in your WRITING section for reference.
Ms. George: Intro/Rubric/G.O/Exemplar - Today in class we looked at what your next writing assignment will look like and I read some examples. Use the rubric and graphic organizers to guide and organize as you plan and write, at each stage.
WRITING with SENSE DATA: Creative Writing à YOU were to choose a topic ( e.g. food, animal, machine, place, event, thing).
Before Using the Graphic Organizer, review the INSTRUCTIONS sheet.
--> using the graphic organizer, you were to include NO LESS THAN two examples of sense data for each of the 5 senses ( 10 in total).
--> you are encouraged to include as many examples as you can think of
--> You will need to include: Metaphor, Simile, Personification, Alliteration, Assonance, Allusion, Hyperbole and Onomatopoeia. If you can think of examples for these while filling out your organizer, be sure to include them. If not, you will aim to include them through your free-write and drafting stages.
Due Friday November 14th:
Complete Stage 1 - Choosing Topic and Completing Graphic Organizer ( Pre-Write #1)
Have NO LESS THAN 2 examples for each of the 5 Senses.
