After exchanging books during library time, we spent the last part of class doing Stage #3 or your Pre-Write/Planning for Writing Process.
For your Free Write, I asked you to think BEYOND Sense data and include associations, connections, experiences, feelings and emotion(VOICE) to gather ideas to add to your first draft when we start to write it in class , tomorrow (Wednesday Nov 19)
*Looking ahead to tomorrow’s class, we will be working on:
Poem Draft #1
- It is to include 5 examples of poetic device
- 20 lines minimum
- 35 lines maximum

Please, hand in vocabulary sheets with your definitions
Technique #1: Charting Sense Data “After Apple-Picking”, by Robert Frost. Please hand this in.
Tuesday November 18th – Read over your Stream of Consciousness writing/Free write and highlight your favourite thoughts that came out of that process. Due tomorrow at beginning of class.
Wednesday in class – We will write Draft #1 of your poem
Thursday Nov 20th - Draft #1 due at beginning of class .We will share, peer edit & revise.
Friday Nov 21st – Keep revising as you create draft #2. Our lesson will be reading analysis and Technique #2.
Monday November 24 – Draft# 2 due (We will be doing Narrative Analysis Technique #2 associated work in class)
Tues Nov 25th -Peer Edit Draft #2 in class. Be ready for this.
November 28th – Draft # 3 due. Peer edit and make final revisions. Commit to your work
Tuesday Dec. 2nd – Good Copy is Due!
