Today we started with our usual routine of silent reading and writing in reading logs. Today’s reading log strategy can be found below. While students were reading, I conducted a homework check. After silent reading, students started writing draft #1 of The Sense Data Poem Assignment. (This is Stage 4 of our writing process for this assignment).
Today’s Reading Strategy :Analyze
Fiction: Whose voice (personality, emotion) do you hear? How does voice colour the story?
Non-Fiction: what text features are present? How do they add to your understanding of the material?
