Today was LIBRARY and BOOK EXCHANGE DAY
Students have the right to take out 3 books at a time:
1) French Book
2) English Book
3) A Book of their choice( either language)
A) Before heading to the library, I explained Reading Strategy #3
Please find the PowerPoint I use when teaching Reading Strategies attached, below.
B) Students went to the library to select and exchange books
C) Students engaged in individual silent reading
D) Students were asked to compelte Reading Strategy #3 in their Reading Journal. ( see the worksheet that students have to guide their Reading Journal Entry found attached, below.
Students are to complete this in their REading Journal. The worksheet is a guide. They are not to write on it.
They include on their loose-leaf ( in reading journal) the following:
1) The date
2) Title: Reading Strategy #3 - Déduire
3) Students complete the entry by responding to the following guiding questions. Students should write in complete sentences and focus on good spelling, grammar and expression. I'm looking for a well developed response with details and SPECIFIC EXAMPLES to support the answer given in the journal entry.
